Using music and theatre to build a more connected society
We do this three ways: by training performers of all ages and levels, by producing musicals that open social dialogue, and by bringing live music directly to hospital patients across Singapore.
No other organisation in Singapore combines training, professional production and hospital outreach under one charity. It means every class we teach, every show we stage and every bedside performance we give feeds the same mission.
Nathalie Ribette
Born in France, Nathalie moved to Singapore in 1996 and has called it home ever since. After ten years in healthcare marketing she turned to musical theatre professionally in 1998, performing in productions directed by Selena Tan and George Chan, and touring with W!ld Rice.
In 2002, pregnant with her daughter Alice, she moved behind the scenes to produce and direct a Franco-Singaporean adaptation of Notre Dame de Paris. The form became her signature: musical revues that blend French soul with Singaporean sensibilities, including the sold-out A Singaporean in Paris in 2010 and 2014.
She founded Sing'theatre in 2006 and the Academy in 2014, and still performs in hospitals herself — the healing power of music is not an abstraction to her.
Recognised by the American Women's Association of Singapore in 2007, and made Knight in the Order of Arts and Literature by France's Minister of Culture in 2010.
